General trip notes

Vacation with Caroline and the kids, and grandma. We stayed at a rented house. We had the upper floor, another family had the lower. We took our boat with us. On the trip to the keys, we almost lost a wheel from the boat trailer (the bearings gave out), and had to have the boat and trailer put on a truck, and taken to where we were able to borrow another trailer and continue our trip. We arrived at 1:30 in the morning - the eight hour trip took us eighteen hours with our boat trailer difficulties. We spent the week visiting various islands in the keys, from Key Largo to Key West. We also had an excellent sunset cruise on our boat - we took it out in the Gulf, and sat to watch the sun set - beautiful! We went to beaches, out on the boat several times, scuba, and snorkelling. Other than the difficulties with the boat trailer getting to the Keys, we had an excellent time.

Notes: Lots of fans, brain coral, parrot fish, queen angel, puffer. Not quite enough weight. We were the only divers on the trip. This was the first time using contact lenses - worked great!

Notes: Weight adjustment was good. Large stingray buried in sand - could see outline and part of tail and eyeballs - about 3 feet across, 7 feet long. More fans and brain coral. Same trip as dive #67.
